Dear Sir,

I liked your way to promote our talents through "Konkann Talents". This is very good opportunity for our new generation to expose their hidden talents. We have number of talented children in our community, unfortunately we don't have platform to expose them. Our Konkanni print nmedia is limited to certain regions and readers , so I believe emergence of daijidubai.com certainly big gift  to  our entire community. I would like to congratulate people behind this glorious project.

Greetings 18/10/01

My Dear website visitors,

Having received countless messages of greetings from around the world (Through website, email, and Telephone),it is now time to pause and reciprocate with my gratitude and remember  those who are behind me in this glorious mission.

While I receive this award with all sincerity and humility, it is my  duty to share the recognition that I have just received from Mangalore  Konkans. (May Good Lord bless this unity)
I have a few names that instantly get unto my mind, the first and  foremost being Melwyn Rodrigues, the eminent poet who had been and  continues to be instrumental behind the success of News page, Interviews and Kavitakular. Without his support I am sure I would have been nowhere in the operations of this website.
Then there is Stephen Mascarenhas, better known as Hemacharya, who is  our advisor and has been kind enough to write an exclusive column for this website. I am also grateful to another remarkable contributor, CGS for his wonderful column-Fugetteo.
My colleagues from Daijidubai : Dayan, Rony Byndoor, M.P. Rodrigues, Stany Nirude  have been always supportive, both in words, in deeds and in times of  needs.
Support from outside Dubai had been remarkable and I must reiterate  the support of Austin Prabhu (US), Lawrence Coelho (Editor `Divo` and `Secular Citizen`), J.B. Moraes (Mumbai), Jessie D'Cruz (Kuwait), Gerry D'Mello(Muscat), Richard Moras (Bahrain), Oswald D'souza & Jemma  Padil (Abu Dhabi), H.R. Alva, Mangalore, Clarence Fernandes, Bangalore, without whose support I would have been halfway !
I also recall to mind the benevolent support of our website sponsor  Francis Fernandes, co-sponsor Stephen D'Almeida and other donors.

Rev. Fr. Cyprian D`Souza (St.Mary`s Church, Dubai) to whom also I am grateful for his kind support. Also, Mr. Noel Mascarenhas & Fly, Mr. Thomas Saldanha, Dubai.

I thank Valerian Peris, the president and all the members of Mangalore  Konkans for the coveted award. Needless to say, the award has  strengthened my shoulders, shown a new direction unto my mission,  called for a number of expectations from me....
With your support I am sure to get ahead, with new renowned spirit to  hold the "Konkanni Flag" high on the universal horizon.
Thank you, one and all.

Walter D`Souza, Nandalike (Dubai)
