Bishop urged the Konkanni Catholic community to stay united

Mangalore Konkans Dubai have arranged a dialogue with Rt. Rev. Dr. Aloysius P. D`Souza, The Bishop of Mangaloreon 8th September at Indian Sports Club Hall.

Mr. Somashekar, former Education Minister of Karnataka Government was also present.

Mr. Valerian Peris, President of Mangalore Konkanns Dubai red out the report and Mr. Alvyn Pinto presented the Memento to the Bishop on behalf of the association.

With a sum of Rs. 20 Lakhs, Mangalore Konkanns had instituted a charitable Trust with C.O.D.P. Mangalore in order to help the poor but merit student  to pursue their higher studies, and also help the poor and needy patients to meet their Hospital bills.

Mangalore Catholics have contributed a lot in the field of education said Mr. Somashekar and expressed his joy about the meritorious service rendered by the Konkanni Catholics.

Bishop has strongly urged the Konkanni Catholic Community to stay united, he also briefed about the new Engineering College.

Mr. Joseline Mascarenhas, Mr. Albert Rodrigues, and Mr. Joe Fernandes participated in the dialogue. 

Fr. Cyprian Peter D`Souza and Ms. Tressy Rodrigues were also present on the dais.

Mr. Joseline Masdcarenhas welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.

Prominent Konkanni Catholic businessmen and leaders of various Konkanni organization were also present.
